Our Church History

The United Vision Baptist Church, also affectionately known as ''The U” was organized on July 14, 2010, this meeting was held at UAW Local 14 Hall, where 21 people gathered to hear the vision of the now Pastor, Rev. Stanley E. Clark Sr.  The 1st Worship service was held on July 25, 2010 at the Ramada Inn Hotel (Secor Rd~Toledo, OH). Pastor’s Text: I can’t come down; the work is not finished yet!!! Nehemiah 6: 3 & 15. When Pastor Clark opened the doors of the church approximately 75 people became members with an additional 4 to be baptized!   On August 15, 2010 Rev. Stanley Clark Sr. & the United Vision Baptist Church held installation service at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, with Pastor Cedric Brock bringing the word “Stay In Your Lane” & Pastor F. Alexander Sheares (1st Vice Moderator Northwestern Ohio Missionary Baptist Assoc/Pastor of Rossford First Baptist.) bringing the charge to the Pastor, the Church & Installation of Officer.

Church Motto: REACHING PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE!!!

''The U” has put this motto into practice with various outreach ministries such as ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, delivering Thanksgiving baskets, collecting new and used coats for those who are less fortunate, and giving hand-knitted mittens, scarves and hats to the homeless. ''The U” also provided Christmas assistance to families in the community, and formed a ministry to reach those incarcerated.  Pastor Clark expresses the importance of lifting up Christ. ''The windows of heaven have opened up for United Vision and we don’t have enough room to receive all the blessings of God. 'My heart is bubbling with joy and I am excited about the direction of our church and about the love and joy our members express. We thank God for everything and we thank God for what He will continue to do for United Vision Baptist Church. We owe it all to Him.''  December 15, 2010 we had our first church meeting & Christmas fellowship at the UAW Local 14 Hall (5411 Jackman Rd.) The year was closed out with New Year’s Eve service with Pastor Charles Ross & New Kingdom Baptist Church.

In January, 2011 we were still at the Ramada Inn, faithfully carrying offering baskets, drums and keyboards. We stayed steadfast and believing in the vision, we waited patiently. Pastor Clark received a call from the realtor inquiring if we were still interested in the property at 821 E. Manhattan. We know God’s way is not our way and His time is not our time and He was saying now is your time to get a home.  In February, 2011 we accomplished another first, Pastor Clark along with Deacon Williamson baptized two candidates in the Ramada Inn Pool.  After eight months of going between the Ramada Inn and the Octagon Hall, on March 18, 2011 the official signing for the property at 821 E. Manhattan –Toledo, Ohio, took place and United Vision Baptist Church had a home. “By Grace” God has showered us with blessings we never thought possible. From looking at property on Eleanor to Hill and Prouty and peeping through windows on Byrne, God said now children you are going to your new home at 821 E. Manhattan Blvd.  The 1st Church service in the new church home was held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 and on April 3, 2011 we had our first baptism at our new home. Membership has continued to grow as more people are getting ''hooked Up'' to the vision of Pastor Clark. Only God could have brought us to this place and done it so swiftly. We have come this far “By Grace.”
